“Friday” is about the JFK assassination. The man driving the car JFK was in was named Samuel Kickin (Kickin in the front seat, sittin in the back seat…). The assassination occurred on a Friday, and after JFK was shot the secret service told Jackie Kennedy to “get down” (got to get down on Friday). The cold war and the spread of Communism are referenced (everybody’s Russian). Finally, instead of eating a breakfast of eggs and sausage that morning, JFK opted for a bowl of Bran Flakes (got to have my bowl- got to have cereal). The following Monday, JFK was due to sign a law that provided bus transportation to all students (got to catch my bus…)
We can make a puppet show.
We can make a musical.
We can make a second musical.
We can cross two Harry Potter related things and make it hysterical.
We can take a famous line from the movie and change it.
We can take pictures from the movie and make it look like a picture from another movie.
We can take things way too literally.
We can take quote from a movie and prove it wrong.
We can take a whole movie quote and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take a commercial and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take a TV show and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take Disney and make it about Harry Potter.
We will forever take anything else that the actors are in and turn it into something Harry Potter.
We can make fun of something til there’s no tomorrow and still love everything about it.
We can turn Harry Potter into a religion.
We can turn mock the Dark Lord by making him sing pop songs.
Harry Potter will live on forever. The fandom will live on forever. Potterheads for life.
An interview with JK Rowling in 1998. Compare to now where an estimation of 450 million of her books have been sold.
Sorry but I had to reblog this, the note count was freaking me out.
I wonder if we can get this to 30,000 notes, which would be phenomenal.
